We offer up-to-date information that enables people to make informed decisions on issues, which they may face.  Our advisers can provide a personal, one-to-one service to local older people, their carers or relatives, and we can arrange an appointment to suit you.  Our service is free, confidential and impartial, and will empower you to make the best choice for you. For example, by working with you to check the entitlements you should be receiving and helping to complete claim forms.  People over 60 may be entitled to one or a number of benefits including:

• Attendance Allowance
• Disability Living Allowance
• Carers Allowance
• Pension Credit
• Housing & Council Tax Benefit

Some benefits are based on a person’s health, physical or mental disability or due to their particular financial circumstances. 

We can also help you access a range of other services that offer the necessary expertise and we also work closely with Adult Care, Housing and the Department of Work and Pensions.
